I Am Link

.
--- Aunt Sassy Forever - Because I had yesterday off - sorry for the no warning there, by the way - a full 36 hours separates me from having attended that Lisa Kudrow Comeback event I talked about going to and I know I'm never gonna write down my thoughts in a proper manner now. I live in the moment! Thankfully KI212 was there and did it for me with pictures, and transcriptions of the notable stuff, so I don't have to feel guilty. Ah sweet laziness. It was absolutely a blast though, and Kudrow came off as funny and intelligent as you hopefully imagine her to be. No Romy & Michelle questions though! Boo!

--- Original Scent Experiences - That's how HBO's marketing team describes the set of candles and scrolls that they've started to send out to websites as promotional materials for their Game of Thrones series. I want an original scent experience!

--- Ten's Best - I hope you've been following Joe's 2010 Awards over at Low Resolution over the course of this past week! I can't stop giggling about his branding Winona Ryder Black Swan's Candyman.

--- Pin Head - Out doing press for Drive Angry director Patrick Lussier's talking about a couple of different topics of note - like what would have happened if he'd made the My Bloody Valentine sequel that no one is clamoring for, or where things stand on his Hellraiser film, which he is still working on. It won't be in 3D! It's not a remake! So on.

--- Shock and Yawn - I was just talking to a friend yesterday about how overrated a cult experience I found Birdemic to be - that it's mostly just tedious to sit though - and lo Rich at FourFour just wrote up the same thoughts.

--- Gird Your Loins - James Marsden and Patrick Wilson are making a movie together. It doesn't sound like they'll rub their bellies together though. Oh well, I can imagine that pretty thoroughly all on my own. The film sounds interesting though.

--- Stick Figures - Henry Selick is gonna make a new stop-motion animated sure-to-be-classic! He's teaming up with Disney for Shademaker, which is described repeeatedly in terms of being a horror film for kids, hooray! I love his dedication to the creepy - I need to watch Coraline again, actually.

--- Speaking of scary movies for kids, Cinematical has a pleasant enough little list of their five favorite animated kid's horror films. I need to watch Monster House again too!

--- Miss Channing - When did Stockard Channing join Ronald Moore's new show with Jamie Bamber? I missed that news, but there it sits scarcely remarked upon in this story of Eomann Walker also joining the cast. Stockard! If this role's anything like what Mary McDonnell got out of BSG good heavens! Which reminds me I saw Mary McDonnell a couple of months ago at that screening of The Conformist at MoMA and never remarked upon that. Well I did! And I so wanted to run up at her and scream, "Throw her out the airlock!!!" That woulda gone well.
