I Am Link

.
--- Never the Brides - I feel deep lasting drowning shame that I wasn't able to jump on this quicker but the trailer for Bridesmaids popped up yesterday, go watch it at Apple. I still haven't gotten around to even watching it myself, shame. Still I now know via Glenn at Stale Popcorn that they tease shirtless Hamm so s'all good already. Want!

Also, there's something kind of hysterical about the phrase "Wiig Hamm" isn't there? That's what I labeled that image to the left and it's cracking me up. Because obviously this is all I see:

Obviously that's the greatest thing I've ever done right there.

--- Oh Gatsby! - Baz is maybe not going to make his Great Gatsby movie after all. He says there will be news either way by the end of the week. Which in Baz-time roughly translates to about three and a half months from now, right?

--- Let Me Let You Right - Nat's piece at The Film Experience on Let Me In, the Let the Right One In remake that's out on DVD today, is must-read and spot-on. When I reviewed the film I was mostly just stunned that it didn't make me tear out my own hair (especially with whatsherface skulking about) but with time its completely evaporated, while the original still lingers, and I totally agree that it's because the new version just didn't have anything new to add.

--- The Lady Lois - If you're looking for a run-down of actresses that are possibly possibles for playing Lois Lane opposite hot-ass Henry Cavill's Supes in Zach Snyder's Superman then you can see them here. The list is generally very depressing. I guess Kristen Stewart has passed, which is fine, she's too stoned for Lois. We need somebody speedier. And bless Mila Kunis, love her, but she's way too sexy (although saying that and then using the image I'm using for Lois is a little bit insane). And Jessica Biel would make a better Superman than Lois with those shoulders. And don't even get me started on useless Olivia Wilde! Don't do it! (image via)

--- Geek Week - New York's ComiCon, which I've been attending each year, is extending itself to four full days this year.

--- And finally, I ain't watched this yet but here's a Japanese guitar orchestra (which is apparently a thing) performing the theme from Jurassic Park. I have no doubt I will go nuts for this - you have no idea how much time I spent in the mid-90s listening to the Jurassic Park score. Constant. (via Aaron)
