I don't think this is right either (and I also thought of The Third Man), but maybe it could be Orson Welles' THE TRIAL? Though that sleeping person sure doesn't look like Anthony Perkins...

It is The Trial, Sheldrake (and that sleeping person is actually Orson Welles himself who's in the film). Good job!

It's a really beautifully shot film, I wish I had a better copy of it. I had a hard time not taking frames from the film that I adore but would've made this one too easy to guess.

And with the great Romy Schneider! One of the most under appreciated actors of all time and what a beauty. Just watched The Swimming Pool and The Infernal Trio. Great stuff.
