5 Off My Head - No Thom Like The Present

.
Today is Thom Yorke's 42nd birthday and so I decided that I was going to list my five favorite Radiohead songs in his honor. And then I stared at this A-Z list of all of Radiohead's songs and I decided that it would be easier to just shoot myself in the face then pick five songs above any others. So I pulled the trigger but the stupid gun jammed and then I started thinking how I'd like to have a muffin and so I ate a muffin and then I started typing up this post. Mmm muffin.

Anyway here's the top five most-played Radiohead songs on my iPod. It was an easy way not to have to make any decisions and just keep that stupid useless gun out of it.
.

"The National Anthem" from Kid A (played 1819 times)
.

"All I Need" from In Rainbows (1366 times)
.

"Weird Fishes/Arpeggi" from In Rainbows (1219 times)
.

"How To Disappear Completely" from Kid A (1193 times)
.

"Everything In It's Right Place" from Kid A (1055 times)
.
This list doesn't surprise me much - Kid A and In Rainbows are the albums of theirs that I listen to the most - but I do feel like they should be the other way around. These bottom two are easily my favorite Radiohead songs ever, no dispute at all, and as much as I love it I'm a little shcoked I've listened to "The National Anthem" nearly two thousand times! Also, the absence of "Let Down" or "Street Spirit" stings a bit. Still my top 5 probably would've looked a lot like this, if I were the sort of person who could make decisions. (Ha!)

That's fucking impressive. "All I Need" = my favorite off In Rainbows. Possibly ever.
