I Am Link

.
--- Requiem For A Superhero - I want you to close your eyes and imagine what a Superman movie directed by Darren Aronofsky would be like. When you finally stop orgasming, read about the very real possibility of that happening here. Also, clean yourself up.

--- Hellboy's Madness - Guillermo Del Toro says that he has a role written specifically for Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman, in his HP Lovecraft adaptation of At the Mountains of Madness, should Perlman's schedule be free to do it. I can picture that.

--- Good Grit - Still haven't gotten around to watching the teaser for the Coens' True Grit yet, but Nat took a look at it at The Film Experience and even sight unseen I agree that this thing's a 100% must-see.

--- Gay Shit - Over at Stale Popcorn Glenn takes a look at the controversial 1980 Al Pacino fisting epic Cruising, and from there a list of the Greatest Gay Movies as voted on by AfterElton's readership. I second, third, and fourth Glenn's groan at the lot of it. Ugh.

--- Too Much Super - Slash rips some quotes about The Avengers from an interview with Joss Whedon where he addresses all the problems anyone with eyes can see coming down the turnpike at such an overloaded movie. He's thinking Glengarry Glen Ross. I assume minus the myriad fucks.

--- Viva Tentacles - Monsters is out on video on demand already? I had no idea but IMDb says so. I am so so so watching it tonight if that's true. Otherwise it's in theaters at the end of October. Over at Billy Loves Stu Pax has already seen it and offers his extremely positive take upon it.

--- Like Unlike - David Fincher and Trent Reznor talk about the music for The Social Network here. (via Sean)

--- And finally, here's a shirtless David Beckham screaming at some dude for basically calling him a man-slut. (via) Gotta end with a bang, ya know. Anyway make love not war, dudes.
