Trust Only Your Own Light

.
I posted the trailer for Wes Craven's My Soul To Take yesterday without watching it (and once I did I was suffieciently underwhelmed) and today I am posting the trailer for Vanishing on 7th Street, the new horror(ish) film from the very talented director Brad Anderson (he who directed Session 9 and The Machinist and Transsiberian), another movie I am suspicious of my encroaching apathy towards. Slash has what the movie's about if you're interested, I've typed it up enough times before and haven't been able to ignite enough enthusiasm after all these times to do it again. It's just that blasted cast. Hayden Christensen and my nemesis Thandie Newton? His last movie starred amongst others Emily Mortimer, Kate Mara, and Thomas Krestchmann. Downgrade! Anyway this'll be showing at TIFF's Midnight Madness program and then will presumably be out sometime after that, presumably.

Hayden Christianson isn't so bad. He was in that one movie. And that other movie. The one with Kevin Kline, and then Peter Skaarsgard. Remember that?

Though, he seems to be having a Ryan Phillipe-in-Franklyn thing going on here. Which can go either way. Ahem.

What's the banner image, please?

Saarsgard, I mean.

The banner's from Hausu, Simon. I reviewed it here.

I did like Hayden in both of those films, but any residual like's dissipated since then.
