Hot Fodder

It was just a few hours ago I saw the first name attached to the fifth Final Destination film, and I guess this thing's moving into high gear because we've already got a second: Arlen Escarpeta.

Hi there, Arlen Escarpeta. Let's look you up. Okay, he's in that Lottery Ticket movie that I just saw an ad for yesterday for the first time that looks terrible. And apparently he was in the Friday the 13th remake from the year before last but I'll be damned if I can remember him in it. I'll be damned if I can remember anybody in that movie though. Well besides my beloved Ryan Hansen and the rage that manifested itself when Padalecki left his shirt on the entire time in a hurricane of rejected need.

Oh he was in The Ten as one of Kerri Kenney's sons with Arsenio Hall where Oliver Platt came and hung out with them as an Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonator. Yeah I wrote that sentence. I sorta recall that part of The Ten though that movie's pretty foggy in my memory (or at least the parts that didn't involve Bobby Cannavale dancing around naked are). Anyway here's what he has to say on the new FD:

"I think what they're going to do really, really well this time around, they're going to go back - the story, the plot, a lot of stuff is really going to matter," the actor told About.com. "I think the last movie it was just death. It was death, death, death, which is fine because that's what people want to see. But this time we're going to give them a little bit of everything - good story, great director - it's going to be good."
