Happy 40, Anthony Swofford

Anthony Swofford wrote the book Jarhead, and was subsequently played by Jake Gyllenhaal in Sam Mendes' movie version of his book. That's the two of them together above at the L.A. premiere of the film, looking like the spitting image of each other. Hrm. Anyway I haven't read his book but I owe him an enormous debt of gratitude for giving Jake the vehicle to turn himself into a buzzed buffed marine. Seriously dude. You lit up my life. Thank you for your service, sir! And I will now take this opportunity to post some shots of Jake in Jarhead that I've posted a thousand times before and will inevitably post a thousand times again, because.
