I hadn't been keeping track of this at all, shame on me, but Michael Haneke's glorious The White Ribbon is out on DVD today (via Nat). I'm dying to watch it again - with the pile-up of films I was trying to get through at the end of the year I never got around to seeing the film a second time like I'd wanted to. Here's my original review. It was my second favorite film of 2009, after Where the Wild Things Are. And looking through some images from Ribbon just now I'm overwhelmed with the need to slip myself into its miserablist mysteries again. Horrible horrible people, I need you!
