I keep feeling guilty that I never wrote up my thoughts on the second season of The United States of Tara, which just ended the other week, and that I loved. Words just sort of defeat me when thinking about it - I react to the show in an emotional way that I can't really put into words. I don't mean it destroys me or anything like that - just that I find it such a comforting place to visit, the world Cody's created, even though it's filled with lunacy and a constant stream of terrible things happening. I like every single character so much and I enjoy being in their company so much that even though they're often doing dumb things that hurt each other I still just soak it all up with a smile on my face. And that's no small feat! I know Cody can be a controversial figure for some people that find her insufferable but I am firmly entrenched in the pro camp. Happy birthday, lady!

I just watched Jennifer's Body last night, and I loved the Cody aspects of it. Maybe I'm just a fucking hipster, but I love her dialogue more than any screenwriter except obviously Tarantino. Happy birthday, Diablo!
