Cloning Is The Answer

While Splice, which I just reviewed, isn't about human cloning per se, it's still taught me that messing around with some human DNA can lead to impressivley sexy results. (What, that's not what the movie taught you? Crazy!) So when I read the news that Michael Fassbender's up for two roles in Marvel superhero movies as two completely different super-villains and he must choose between which one he wants to take, losing out on the other... well my mind turns to human cloning. Give the world two Michael Fassbenders! Or even better give the world a Michael Fassbender for everyone who wants one, to do with whatever they see fit. Mmm whatever I see fit...

Anyway here's that news bit (via):

"[Fassbender]’s being pursued, I hear, for two different Marvel comics movies. Matthew Vaughn is said to want him for “X Men: First Class.” Fassbender would play young Magneto, the precursor for Ian McKellen’s later character. (Because of early senility, I mixed Magneto up with Professor X/Charles Xavier in an earlier version of this story. This is also largely due to my hearing Paul McCartney singing “Magneto and Titanium Man” in my head. Sorry.) James McAvoy is already signed to play Young Xavier.

At the same time, Fassbender is being pursued to play the villain in “Spider Man 4,” aka “No Toby Maguire Here.”

Two different movies from Marvel, but two different studios: Fox for the first, and Columbia for the second. He can’t do both."

I think I just proved, through the power of my words, that he can do both. God, pay attention.
