The Humpening

.
It's okay, you can call me a flop. Flop! Cuz I'm not doing well keeping up with the smaller movies that are getting released these days. Earlier I posted about the release of Fritz Lang's restored Metropolis opening this weekend which sneaked up on me without warning and now today I see this review of Harmony Korine's Trash Humpers in the NYT and realize that it too is out here in NY today and I had not a single solitary clue. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Korine's previous film, Mister Lonely, was my 7th favorite movie of 2008. I know that that film and this new film are about as different as could possibly be imagined, but I loved that movie so much I feel an allegiance to checking this one out. Plus my Guest Reviewer back in September found the film "inexplicably entertaining" and said "The movie scares you because it exists." If that ain't enough to make it must-see then I dunno what!
