--- Scream King - I think at this point it's way way too early to believe any of these sorts of casting rumors about the fourth Scream film. But what the hell, it's fun anyway! Especially when the rumor's this nifty. BD says that Adrienne King who played Alice the original final girl of the Friday the 13th series is gonna have a role in the movie. Kick ass! That's her, then and now, up on the left. She rules. Find a role for Adrienne Barbeau too, please!

--- Bumped - Bad news on the releases of a couple of films we're looking forward to this morning. David Gordon Green's medieval-stoner flick Your Highness has been pushed back from October of this year to April 8th, 2011. Boo! Hiss! And they've just announced that The Hobbit ain't happening til at least December 2013. Jinkies. I hope Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro have something else to do (I know, they have like a billion projects lined up apiece).

--- Lovely Lady - The extremely likable daughter in the not-half-bad Last House on the Left remake, Sara Paxton, has just been cast as one of the clerks in the haunted hotel at the center of Ti "House of the Devil" West's next film The Innkeepers. Pat Healy, one of those consummate "Hey! It's That Guy"'s, plays the other. And somewhere, Kelly McGillis fits into all this... I'm intrigued.

--- Can't Help Myself - There's no stopping the inevitable, I guess. I tried to pretend I'd be above a new Alien film directed by Ridley "I stopped making good movies 20 years ago" Scott, but every single tidbit he's given about the film(s) while doing press for Robin Hood has turned me to curious goo. Here's some more possible could-be awesome junk he said about it, via:

"The film will be really tough, really nasty. It's the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would actually go in and clean up a planet? It will take place in the years before that, when they first come across this thing on a planet called Zeta Reticuli.

... Yeah, the thing about Alien vs Predator is, I know it's commerce, but what a pity... I think, therefore, I have to design - or redesign - earlier versions of what these elements are that led to the thing you finally see in Alien, which is the thing that catapults out of the egg, the face-hugger. I don't want to repeat it. The alien in a sense, as a shape, is worn out."

--- Island Ali - PopWrap stumbled upon cool news - the awesome Allison Janney is set to appear on an upcoming episode of Lost! As a character with the inimitable name of "woman"... mkay. I've adored her ever since she wore that wicked black-and-white dress and wielded that deadly bowl of keys in The Ice Storm. Like Jarett I can't imagine someone of her status just taking a nothing part, so now is when we ruminate upon who she will be...
