I Am Link

.
--- Ryan's Hole - That right there to the left (click on it for the full effect, of course) is the teaser poster for Buried, the "Spend 90 minutes stuffed in a box with Ryan Reynolds" movie that's out on October 8th (via). The film's got a website now too.

--- Three Ring Tukhus - They're going to make a third Ring film, it's going to be in 3D, and it's going to be "teen-centric." I don't really have anything to add to that, it all pretty much speaks for itself from where I stand.

--- Tons of Fun - Glenn's continuing his countdown of everything awesome in the Aughts at Stale Popcorn and I really dug about thirteen thousand of the entries in the latest chapter. The opening pile-up in Final Destination 2, a shot of Ennis Del Mar, the Pale Man and music from There Will Be Blood... this is what the inside of my brain looks like.

--- Back To The Living - Arbogast sent out a call for new entries to his "The One I Would Have Saved" series and has received a bunch; you can find the new picks here and here. Great stuff.

--- And Speaking Of movie characters and death - a fave subject round these parts, of course - Cinematical's got a list of characters that should have died but didn't that's fun; they're riffing on this list at Cracked of the most humiliating deaths that've befallen characters that deserved better than they got.

--- And finally, Chris Evans said something about Captain America.

"It was a challenging process for me, trying to decide whether or not to do it. I came down on the side of going for it because I really think Marvel is doing some great things these days, the script is great and it's going to be a fun character to play. He's a wonderful character, just as a man, aside from the comic hero background. If it was just a story about the man, Steve Rogers, I'd be really interested. He's an incredibly noble, honest, selfless man, and those are qualities that I think people can aspire to and look up to."
