I Am Link

.
--- What's This - There's all this buzz accumulating around a new low budget horror flick, called Manic Monday, and I'm super jealous that apparently a bunch of horror bloggers NOT NAMED ME got to see screenings this week. Everybody's saying it's the best thing since sliced bread. Since evil sliced bread. Why won't the fortunes be good to me and let me see it? Cruel cruel world! Anyway it's a demon possession end-of-the-world flick with musical numbers. Hello! Read my bud Pax's take on it over at Billy Loves Stu. Apparently it's gonna play in NY and LA soon so I'll keep you posted. Ugh, jealous!

--- Suddenly, Bullshit - According to BD the next movie Tim Burton wants to remake is the 1986 version of Little Shop of Horrors. Meaning the musical. Meaning he apparently thinks that someone in the world not named Ellen Greene can play the role of Audrey 1. He is mistaken. MISTAKEN.

--- Worm Snake - I am fucking terrified of this worm snake. It's pink and blind and horrible horrible!

--- Peli-geist - Arbogast's take on Paranormal Activity is must read. Choice bit:

"Why do Micah and Katie need a three bedroom house, how can they afford it, what exactly do they do? Even though there's a pool in the backyard, these kids have but one friend between them. They don't even appear to have neighbors - at least no one comes knocking when the terrible screaming starts at o'dark-thirty. This left me wondering... do these people even exist? And then it all began to make sense."

--- Beck Pilgrim - I've only watched the Scott Pilgrim trailer with he sound turned on once (I don't know how that's possible either) so far, so I hadn't noticed that the pair of songs in it are both by Beck. But apparently they are! And I guess he's writing all sorts of music for the movie. Coolness.

--- And finally, is Leo DiCaprio gonna get his repressed gay on as Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar Hoover biopic? And will I care? (The answer to the second question is very much likely hell no.)

Wait, are ALL these stories April Fools or just the Burton/"Little Shop"? This damned fake holiday gets more confusing every year.
