Good lord how long has it been since we got some Pat Wilson up in here? Probably since the last time I day-dreamed about his ass in Watchmen or his ass in Little Children or just some generalized Patrick Wilson ass consideration. Anyway, this is odd news via BD:"Bloody Disgusting learned that Rose Byrne (Knowing, 28 Weeks Later, The Dead Girl, Sunshine), Patrick Wilson (Hard Candy, Watchmen, The Ledge) and Barbara Hershey (Black Swan, Riding the Bullet) have all been cast in James Wan's latest horror entry, Insidious, which is currently lensing under the title "The Astral" here in Los Angeles. Re-teaming Wan with Saw co-writer Leigh Whannell, the pic follows a young family makes the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose boy has become a magnet for malevolent entities, while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further. Wan also directed Dead Silence and Death Sentence."
Ooh "the further"! How, dare I say, insidious! Anyway I call this casting "odd" because so far I've thought everything James Wan has touched has turned to poop, and yet here he is with a very interesting cast indeed. I like Rose Byrne (usually - watching her in Knowing and Adam this past year has not been kind to that like, I gotta admit) and Barbara Hershey... well she starred in Beaches so she's never too far from my thoughts. All that said get naked again please Patrick alright thanks goodbye..
