When was the last time I saw Eric Bana in anything? I guess it was Funny People? He was a bright spot in a seriously lacking film (Pull your shit together, Judd Apatow!). Then there was Star Trek of course (a movie I remember basically nothing about at this point). I have a copy of Time Traveler's Wife at home but having already seen his nudity within (not enough!), getting me to plod through the entire film seems a long-shot at this point. Anyway this new project sounds interesting like something I might possibly see. Via here:
I'm seeing Greenberg later this week - yay Greta Gerwig! - and I have lofty expectations for it - yay Great Gerwig - even though I hate Squid and the Whale and only felt marginally alright about Margot and the Wedding - blame Great Gerwig. But Baumbauch keeps working with actors I generally really like, so I keep having to see his movies. And this sounds the same. I'm trying to have an open mind about Keira Knightley now, too - you can blame Never Let Me Go for that. She'd better be good in it! I want Pride & Prejudice Keira and not Atonement Keira!

"Noah Baumbach ("Greenberg") has signed on to direct "The Emperor's Children" for Imagine Entertainment, sliding into the position that had previously been held by Ron Howard, who will now produce with partner Brian Grazer.
Keira Knightley, Eric Bana and Richard Gere are attached to the film, which is currently looking for outside financiers.
... Baumbach adapts from Claire Messud's 2006 best-selling novel about a trio of Brown University graduates who are approaching their 30s with trepidation as they struggle to realize the lofty expectations held for their personal and professional lives. The novel was set in New York in the months leading up to and following 9/11."

You can catch a fun interview of him and watch as he drives a reasonably priced car around a race track this week on Top Gear on BBC America.
Aw, but Atonement Keira was good too!
