At this point, there are 162 days until Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is released in theaters. That's August 13th, 2010. Five full months, plus change. And I am going out of my fucking mind with anticipation for it already! Outta my mind! Can't they move this bitch ahead already, for the sake of my sanity? I will lose my shit if I have to wait five months! Lose. My. Shit! Yadda blah Slash has got some quotes from Kevin Smith on what he thought of the movie, which the fucker has already seen:
"That movie is great. It’s spellbinding and nobody is going to understand what the fuck just hit them. I would be hard pressed to say,”he’s bringing a comic book to life!” but he is bringing a comic book to life. If you’ve ever seen Scott Pilgrim, he did a fucking damn fine job of taking essentially an anime looking book and putting it into the real world while keeping everything about that book that’s kind of cool and what pops. Ellen Wong (seen there to the right) is the name of the actress playing Knives, which is a terrific part in the books, and apparently she does it justice. And apparently Mr. Smith saw the film with Quentin Tarantino, or at least feels able to speak to what QT thought of it, because he also shares:.
"I mean Quentin loves everything. He’s a true movie fan and if you wanna talk about a true believer, good lord. He’s the original true believer. He was really into it."
