If It Were Anybody Else...

... besides Anna Faris that was announced to be starring in a remake of the seminal Goldie Hawn vehicle Private Benjamin, I'd either not care enough to even give it a thought - I haven't seen the original since I was a kid, and it was never something I was tremendously attached to - or I'd just be mildly annoyed at being reminded at how deeply Hollywood is imagination-deprived.

But it is Anna Faris.
And Anna Faris can do no wrong.
So count me the eff in.

I mean, at least we dodged the Kate Hudson bullet here.

I like Anna Faris too much to make a "Robert Downey Jr." reference here.

She's a good example of someone who kinda does the same schtick over and over that doesn't annoy me though, so I don't mind you making it. I do still hope she eventually does something like that Linda Lovelace biopic and stretches herself some, but for the time being she can keep on being the same bug-eyed dim-witted pretty lady and I'll keep laughing my gut off.

I totally agree, by the way. I'm just saying, for the next time you yell at me for liking RDJ.

I had a full-body shudder over thinking about Kate Hudson in this role.

I had a full-body shudder when I saw that pic of Anna. I really want that shirt to fly up. Hoo mama!!

It's like when the cute men play tennis and their shirts go flying up. Yay!
