Happy 30, Christina Ricci

When I saw Christina Ricci was turning 30 today it sent me into a huff. Where the hell has me beloved been all this time? I haven't seen her since Speed Racer, and if Emile Hirsch could walk away from that perfectly unscathed then she oughta to. And then when I googled her I saw all these images of her in Black Snake Moan - whaddya know, the internet seems to like pictures of her in panties and a half-shirt rolling around the floor in chains! Shocker! - and was reminded of that on-fire performance of hers. Really the only thing I liked about that movie was her, but I liked her performance quite a bit.

From there I saw that After.Life, that horror-thriller movie she did with Liam Neeson is actually being released sometime this Spring. So that's good. Plus she's got four projects lined up in some stage of production, including Bel Ami, the movie who's title I keep seeing mentioned around because it stars Robert Pattinson and his shit's always mentioned around and it keeps reminding me of the twink-porn syndicate by the same name. So perhaps one of these flicks will be good, and she'll stay in my life. I need Ricci in my life, for all time. She makes the world a better place.
