I Am Link

.
--- Michael Mine - In about 34 hours, I will be in the same room as Michael Fassbender. Excuse me while I breathe into a paper-bag for a minute. Okay. I'm alright. A little bit light-headed, but alright. He and his Fish Tank co-star will be at a screening of that film in Brooklyn and oh yes, I will be there. How could I not? And if he breaks out his Inglourious Basterds accent I cannot be held accountable for my (man)reaction!

Anyway if y'all head over to Stale Popcorn you can see Fish Tank's trailer and new poster (there to the left) as well as a couple of stills of my beloved Michael in a lot of his altogether... not that I can refrain from swiping 'em and posting 'em here, of course.

See? Couldn't help myself. Lord I love this man.

--- Mike Twice - Speaking of Michael Fassbender, Club Silencio took a look at Eden Lake the other day, that evil-kids movie from which I documented his short-shorted shenanigans.

--- 'Fraid 'a No Ghosts - That dude Sebastian Stan, who received his very own gratuitous post all his own back in the day, has gone and signed on to a horror movie. It's called Apparition which I am guessing makes it about ghosts of some sort. Hopefully sexy gay ghosts, since they're the best sort of all.

--- More Later - Earlier this week I posted the links to the first two parts of this series at AICN looking forward to the films coming out this year, and here's the third part. More junk!

--- Charmisma - In his review for Cheri, Joe Reid coined a brand new and wonderful word for Rupert Friend. Hooray word! But besides that Joe got around to a whole buncha reviews so check them here and then check them here. Avatar, The Lovely Bones, A Single Man, and more are covered. He and I even agree a few times (although we've decided not to ever discuss Avatar). And his recap of the decade that's dead continues as well... hell, just click over to his site, there's lots to see and read. It's Brokeback Mountain time!

--- Also - And speaking of recent reviews, my bud Sean also wrote up his thoughts on Avatar, which jive with Joe's pretty well, and his thoughts on Up in the Air, which jive with mine pretty well.

--- Bo, Meet Chimp - If you click on just one link today, let it be this one, which concerns Bo Derek, Bo Derek's nipple, and a healthy heaping dose of deeply disturbing bestiality. Because why not? After that description, why not? I've edited the image to the left there to focus on just the guy in this insane equation though, because that's what I do. Who is he? Looks possibly appealing, besides the other junk going on here that is most assuredly not, not in the slightest.

--- And finally, continuing with the Avatar theme apparently - it is the topic d'jour these days - io9 has a list of five reasons why the film's been so successful, but they left off the simplest one - that it's a fucking trip, man.

The guy with Bo Derek and the chimp is Miles O'Keefe. This was his first film role and he still acts today. Oddly enough, I spent some time with him around 17 years ago in Montreal and he was a nice enough guy. I got his hair caught in my mouth on the rooftop of a hotet but sadly, this was nowhere near as sexy as it sounds.

Taffy beat me to it. Miles O'Keefe is also one of the funniest MST3K lines: "How much Keefe is in this movie?" "Miles O'Keefe"

Thanks for reminding me about that Propero! I'm gonna rewatch "The Cave Dwellers" as soon as I am able!
