A very happy 77th birthday to Ellen Burstyn today. If I do ever get around to listing my favorite performances from this decade I think we all know that her turn as Sara Goldfarb pretty much already owns the gold medal. There aren't many performances that have ever affected me like it. And that continue to affect me like it - the film's reduced me to a blubbering mess each and every time I've revisited it over the decade. So... thanks?
