Last week I said this:
"I've been fortunate enough to have seen so many of my heroes at screenings here in New York (Haneke, Aronofsky, Park Chan-wook), but [Werner Herzog]'s eluded me so far. Argh."
And what do I see on the marquee of the blessed, beautiful IFC Center this morning on my way to work? That Herzog will be there for some of the screenings of his new flick My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done? this Friday! I will be in his presence! Oh joy, rapture!
So in the spirit of this new-found power o' mine, I have this to say: I've never spent my holidays in bed with Jake Gyllenhaal, Eric Bana and Chris Evans. Okay - magic, go!

I can't find anything online about Herzog being there on Friday. Did you happen to catch the times (or other days)? I need to be there.
They haven't figured out what shows he'll be there for yet, Michael. I called the box office a couple of hours ago to see and they said they'll know either later today or tomorrow.
