I tried to choose a bit from this interview with Eva Marie Saint over at Sunset Gun (Kim's really gunning straight for my adoration these days, I swear) to quote but it was all so enjoyable I'm just gonna tell y'all to go over and read the whole thing yourselves.
I especially liked the bit about her shopping trip with Hitchcock (who she called "sugar daddy"!) for North By Northwest and how she was the one who picked out the iconic flowered dress seen above (sidenote: Dear Women of the World, Dress like Eva Marie Saint in North By Northwest. Sincerely, JA).
Or the bit about Montgomery Clift's haunted eyes. Or the brief interjection about how Paul Newman's eyes really were that blue. Or the bit about Marlon Brando's improvised glove porn.
It wasn't until this interview, seeing them all lined up like this, that I realized how Saint starred opposite all of the hottest men ever. Man, lady! That's a life.
