There seems to be some question whether this is actually Heath Ledger on the set of The Dark Knight but the source where I found it links to video of Heath on set actually skateboarding in costume and it certainly looks real to me so I'm buying it. The real question of course is whether that's Bale in the bat-costume or a stand-in or stunt-double. I'm assuming so towards that end. Bale doesn't seem so... playful, I guess would be the right word, no? Or one of the right words, at least.

In related news, I read yesterday that you can now buy TDK on DVD for just $3.99 for the Holiday season. $3.99! Thing is, I still haven't bought the film, and I sat there staring at that ridiculously low price trying to decide if even that was enough incentive. I mean I liked the film very much but I haven't felt a massive urge to sit through it again. Same thought went through my head this morning seeing that JJ Abrams' Star Trek just came out on DVD - meh. No rush. Bothg are films I enjoyed at the time but right now they feel... semi-disposable? I mean, they're better junk than the usual junk but are they just junk all the same? Maybe I should just have some caffeine first this morning and shut up for now. I don't think I entirely stand by the words that are coming out of my fingertips just yet.

If that picture is real, it's the most awesome thing I have ever seen. If not, it's just pretty funny.
It's real. I worked on the set of that movie and Heath was definitely skating a lot during the shooting of this scene.
That's not Bale, though. That's the "Bat pod" stunt double. If you look closely, you can see that the visible portion of his face is actually part of the helmet.
