I Am Link

.
--- Just Franco - Curious about James Franco's mysterious trip to Port Charles? Well if you head over to Low Resolution Joe's got the goods. Looks to have just the right dose of ridiculous (that is to say, epic amounts of ridiculous). His canvas is MURDER!

--- Ass Kicked - AICN has got the teaser trailer for Matthew Vaughn's superhero-teen movie Kick-Ass which has been riding on good geek word-of-mouth since ComiCon.

--- Big Bummer - JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof don't foresee an adaptation of Stephen King's Dark Tower series in their future. Says Abrams:

"After working six years on 'Lost,' the last thing I want to do is spend the next seven years adapting one of my favorite books of all time. I'm such a massive Stephen King fan that I'm terrified of screwing it up. I'd do anything to see those movies written by someone else. My guess is they will get made because they're so incredible. But not by me."

Quitter!

--- Home Again Home Again - Y'all should go and welcome Adam back to Club Silencio after an extended break from blogging. He explains why he was away here, and it involves Ari effin' Graynor. Sigh. Jealous.

--- Caged Heat - It takes something special to make me click on a link promising an interview with Nicolas Cage - well him talking about his collaboration with Werner Herzog for the Bad Lieutenant sequel-remake-thing is enough to make me click.

--- Better Watch Your Step - Every time I hear talk of the Black Cat character entering the Spider-Man movies I get that damn Janet Jackson song stuck in my head for hours. Ugh. So now that there's apparent sorta real confirmation that Black Cat will indeed be a part of the fourth Spidey film I guess I'd just better get used to that song. I like the Rachel McAdams casting rumor.

--- And finally, over at Collider they've got a bunch of first stills from several upcoming movies, including Sofia Coppola's next flick Somewhere (with Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning) David O. Russell's The Fighter (with Christan Bale and Mark Wahlberg), Andrew "Capturing the Friedmans" Jarecki's All Good Things (which stars Kirsten Dunst and Ryan Gosling) and on and on. Click here and here for them. Here are three pics from the three films I listed above, in that order.

That news about The Dark Tower seriously depresses me. Darlton and J.J. were the only people I trusted to make an adaptation happen. Maybe after Lost is done they'll reconsider.
