Quote of the Day

.
Oh sweet fucking sigh of relief, this is how you greet a morning. With this news (via):

"We're going to run all the episodes. We're not saying we're happy with those numbers, or accept them, but we don't have to overreact. During [November] sweeps we might have to jack up the numbers a little [with other programming], but we plan on completing the order for this show."

That's FOX's scheduling chief talking about Joss Whedon's Dollhouse, by the way.

I haven't written much of anything about the show this season; I was liking it for the most part but it wasn't until this week's episode (always needs more Enver) that I was totally reminded why. Oh yes Amy Acker was great back in the first episode and I liked the "Echo goes nuts on a baby with a knife and lactates" story more than most people seemed to - anything that brings to mind The Hand That Rocks the Cradle is ace in my book - but it needs more of the through-line and less stand-alone. I thought we'd gotten over that last season? Plow this thing ahead, Joss!

Anyway complaints aside I am happy as a clam (a very happy clam) that we'll get the whole second season. They know where the real prize is with a Joss Whedon show (the DVDs of course).
