Jason Statham And Ben Foster...

.

... are gonna be making a movie together. That's enough for me!

Oh fine, perhaps you need more. Whatever. Spoilsport! Via Variety:

"Ben Foster and Donald Sutherland are set to co-star opposite Jason Statham in the remake of "The Mechanic." The film is being helmed by Simon West and is set to go into production in the coming weeks in New Orleans.

In the pic, Foster ("3:10 to Yuma") will play Steve McKenna, the young man who becomes an apprentice to a hitman played by Jason Statham. Sutherland will play the role of Foster's father and Statham's handler."

The original version is from 1972 and starred Charles Bronson and Jan-Michael Vincent. I have not seen it so I can't tell you if, in terms of the film's universe, "an apprentice" equals "butt-slave," but I certainly have my fingers crossed.

OMG! I'm melting in a pool of my own drool over here. Be still my heart. Do you think they'll think of clever ways to have Statham and Foster half naked the entire film?

When DOESN'T an apprentice mean butt-slave?

I'm kind of pissed at Statham for making The Transporter a straight guy. Foster is strangely hot though.
