I went through my archives and found that the possibility of Spike Jonze making Where the Wild Things Are first presented itself to my eyes in October of 2005. That's, like, forever and a freaking day ago. And now it's here! Here! And the reviews I've read (i.e. the ones I choose to believe) have been off the charts.
I hope to be seeing it tomorrow. Tonight I am seeing Peter Jackson's Dead Alive on the big screen, a once-in-a-blue-moon sorta event that I just couldn't say no to (just imagine the viscera, all so large!).

just saw this movie last night, amazing. i loved it so much, it brought back so many memories of my childhood.
