Christopher Lee Will Not Be Starring In Saw VIII

.
Over at CNN they hunkered down with the Count himself, Sir Christopher Lee, and chatted about his upcoming return to Hammer horror - he's co-starring in The Resident, the famed studio's first movie since 1976, along with Hilary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lee Pace (!) - as well as the state of horror today, about which he had this to say:

"I find it quite nauseating what they do... The blood is all over the screen like an avalanche -- the mutilation -- dreadful things, and I just don't enjoy that."

Why do I find the image of these words coming out of Lee's mouth, in that distinct voice, that accent, of his - so funny? You can just picture it, can't you? The nose pushed up, the lifted brow... "dreadful things" indeed.

Anyway he goes on to call The Wicker Man the best thing he's ever done - it's surely the best thing of his that I've seen but I've hardly seen everything he's ever done - and calls Rosemary's Baby his favorite horror film, and surely I'm on the same page with him there.
