Never Say Neve... Er, What?

.
Hey! Ho! What's that sound? Everybody look what's going down!

"“Scream IV” will start production in April or May as the first of a new trilogy and the company is talking to Wes Craven to direct, Weinstein reports. Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette will star."

(via) So Neve is in then? This is the first we've heard of this news!

This news makes me so sad. Scream 3 was so terrible, I really can't take them going further down that road.

I liked his last movie "Red Eye," hopefully he'll bring the suspense again. At least Scream 3 had Parker Posey.

I didn't actually think Scream 3 was *terrible*...but it certainly was not as well done as the previous films.

But when I heard they were talking about a second trilogy, I thought...the best thing they could do is start wit a fresh cast and mystery. Now, if they felt they had to bring back Cox and Arquette, okay, that is fine. Cox plays a reporter/author, so you could pretty easily come up with an excuse to bring her in to the story, and really, if they skip the tired "Gail and Dewey broke up and are bitter" that work for the second film but seemed ridiculous in the third, you have a reason that he is around as well.

But clearly, they think differently than I. And no one pays me to create movies.
