... no work means no posting either. I think I'm going
to spend my day with a little finned lady named Ponyo.
Have a good weekend, everybody! Go see District 9
and tell me what you thought! I'm super-psyched!
Oh and I'm finally seeing Grace tonight too! Bonkers!

Yes! Thank you, Michael! I knew there was another movie out this weekend I wanted to see and I couldn't remember what it was. I'm totally there.
Hope you enjoy Ponyo! It's awesome... though when I went to see it with my friend, the English subtitles were AWFUL.
"No with the agricultural chemicals!"
"Is water with make grow!"
Was an exchange that particularly tickled my friend and I.

Omg.
District 9 in three words - GO SEE IT
Excellent movie, never knew where it was going. A little slow at the end but a must see.
D9 was a bit disappointing. And I actually thought it really started to pick up at the end.
Not as original and groundbreaking as the filmmakers tried to make everyone think, I fear.
Something I might like after repeat viewings, though.
"District 9" is grim and gritty and slightly derivative (you'll see stuff from "The Fly," "Aliens" and "Alien Nation"), but overall a great ride.

PS - Can't wait to see "Taxidermia." The trailer is astounding.
Taxi. Dermia. Best movie of 2006. 'Nuff said.
