Hrm. I've been wanting to see the movie Deadgirl for ages now. And it's playing this weekend here in NYC. No idea when I'll get the chance to see it otherwise. One problem: It's a midnight show. And I am an old, old man at 32. My Metamucil will be spoiled by the time I makes it home!So what do I do? Help me!

And while we're on the subject, there's a screening of Best Worst Movie, the documentary about the ohmygodareyoufuckingserious movie Troll 2, playing next weekend in Brooklyn. And that one's at a reasonable hour so you better believe I'll be showing. Nilbog forever!!!

the film is amazing. epic. perfect. it's worth seeing. it's out in the uk on dvd and that's how i watched it. what i'm worried about with seeing it in the theater is the crowd. the film is really brilliant, but i'm thinking a lot of the audience isn't going to see past the shocking images. and that will cheapen the experience. i'm also old and have a hard time staying awake that late. so with that said, if you're easily annoyed with film goers, i would recommend skipping it in the theater.
I am intrigued by the premise of this film, but lately, the hype of everything never lives up to the reality. I say get to bed, and see it during a matinee.
It's only playing two Midnight shows, Pax. Believe you me I'd be all over a matinee if there were one.
I wish there were word of a DVD release already here in the US, Michael! Then I wouldn't feel so anxious about seeing it now. I mean, I imagine it'll be out before the year is through, but still. And yeah, I am INCREDIBLY easily annoyed, so I'll keep that in mind too.

Midnight shows are kind of fun, I like coming home at 2am drunk off of cinema.... It's a nice change of pace from the weekends
Deadgirl is awful. Don't bother.
