Sigh.
Well that was the "Good morning!" I had for several days that you see there above... that was the view from my hotel that greeted me every day... so you might understand if I'm in a little bit of a mourning period back here at home now where the things that greet me in the A.M. - scurvy-riddled rats, growling subway riders, puddles of urine on the sidewalk - don't much compare.
I'm not going to go into much boring detail here about my - wonderful, wonderful - trip because then I'm one of those people that invite everyone over and turn on the slide machine and spend hours telling their friends how I really experienced the real "fill in the blank" place and escaped the tourist bullshit and et cetera... I hate that shit... if you do wanna see some pictures from my trip though you can head over here.
I do have to say that the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland made my knees shake with its loveliness and if you can at all ever go there DO because my fucking god.
Okay... so I'll be adjusting back into the swing o' things today. And then tomorrow's the weekend, whee, another two days of laying around, and then we should be back to normal. Or I'll sell all my belongings and hike it back to the mountains, that's always a possibility, we'll see.

Nice...what hotel did you stay at in Wengen?
Hotel Caprice, taopiglet. It was a terrific place to stay. Do you know Wengen well?
I've just driven through the area once (many years ago), but it definitely made me want to stay somewhere around there in the future. Your hotel looked like a great place to stay and Wengen looks like a nice base to tour Switzerland. Thanks for the info!
