... then I think that Pascal Laugier, the French director of the fantastically disturbing film Martyrs, could've done the remake-reboot of Hellraiser right. So it's met with a half-frown when I see BD reporting he's detached himself from the project... but that then turns into full-smile when I realize the dude can go and make an original film of his own sans elaborate Cenobite mythology now. He's the real deal; it just sucks that he's spent all this time planning one thing to have it not happen and we, the viewers, are forced to wait even longer for his follow-up. Especially here in the States - who knows when we'll see whatever he does get done? Martyrs never got a real release here. Blurgh..
