I haven't sat down and watched Brokeback Mountain in a couple of years. And that makes me sad. Not sure why this is on my mind this week, maybe it's the oncoming cinematic reunion of Jake and Annie, but I've been trying to fortify my will for another go at the film. It's hard to watch it anyway, what with the basic sadness of the story itself so wonderfully realized by Ang & Co., but the loss of Heath has made it even more difficult to watch now. One of these days I'll watch it again... I just have to steel myself, suck it up, surround myself with tissues and ice cream like I'm studying up to star in The Susan Boyle Story. Huh? Anyway all that aside here's some random prettiness from this pretty pretty film to fill in the blanks. And yes, I had to include the shot of Jake naked beside the stream. Don't you know where you are? It don't get any prettier than that.
