I didn't really feel too bad that I didn't end up watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles - I tried right at the start and thought it stunk - until the last few weeks of its run when everybody started hollering that "Oh my crap it's gotten amazing!" but by then it was too late for me to catch up and I along with most of us saw the writing on the wall regarding it being canceled (although I would've and did said the same thing about Dollhouse).
Still, the one thing I did feel guilty about the entire time the show was on and I wasn't watching was missing out on Summer Glau, because she's River from Firefly and I am a nerd. So this news makes me very very happy (via EW.com):

Question: With Sarah Connor Chronicles canceled, please tell me there is a possibility of Summer Glau making an appearance on Dollhouse! --Jenn
Ausiello: The noise you're about to hear is the sound of the Whedonverse exploding. Joss confirms to me exclusively that, well, he's one step ahead of you. "If anybody thinks [bringing Summer onto Dollhouse] hasn't occurred to me already then they have not met me," he says. "I mentioned it to her before [SCC] was canceled. I was like, 'You know, we should get you in the 'house.' But first we have to come up with something that works." And casting her as a doll would not work, insists Whedon. "Summer would be perfect to play an active, but she's done that [type of role] a lot," he says. "I'd rather see her play someone who talks too much. The most fun I have is when I get somebody who's good and comfortable at doing something, and then I make them do something else. Summer said to me, 'I would like to play a normal girl before I die of extreme old age.'"
It just seems bonkers to me that we're even talking about ideas and whatever for a second season of Dollhouse, doesn't it? Like I fell asleep and slipped into The Matrix or some shit. If I see the same cat walk by twice I'll know!
