Quote of the Day

.
At the end of his review for Little Ashes - the movie out today where Robert Pattinson plays Salvador Dali and got all stinky about performing the gay stuff in front of giggling electricians - Roger Ebert says this of the lack of explicit man-on-man action in the flick:

"I have long believed that one minute of wondering if you are about to be kissed is more erotic than an hour of kissing. Although a few gay Web sites complain "Little Ashes" doesn't deliver the goods, I find it far more intriguing to find how repressed sexuality express itself, because the bolder sort comes out in the usual ways and reduces mystery to bodily fluids. Orgasms are at their best when still making big promises, don't you find?"
.
I love that final sentence and agree, but I don't really know what "gay websites" Roger gets his info from. Not that I've been too crazed with following the response to this movie but the only thing I've really spotted was this clip over at Towleroad showing some near-humping between Pattinson and co-star Javier Beltran and that seemed like plenty to me. I wasn't expecting explicit penetration shot in close-up for Christ's sake.

There, now I can cross "robert pattinson explicit penetration" off my search word check-list for getting people here to the blog. Another dirty domino falls, hooray!
