That's supposedly what Pastor Richard Gazowsky heard ten years ago that told him to turn his church into a movie studio and start making Biblical films. Naturally his ambitions grew, and he soon decided that he needed to make a fifty million dollar science-fiction epic called Gravity: The Shadow of Joseph.Naturally.
All of this is captured in a documentary called Audience of One that's going to be playing here in NYC for a week starting this Friday. The film's already been released on DVD as well (they've got it on Netflix), so if you're not here in NYC you can still catch it. It could be scarier, JD - he could've been one of the Christians who heard God telling them to kill the queers. Seems to be more of them than movie-makers, ya know...
