Has anyone else stopped being excited about Wolverine?
I mean I'm still gonna go see it eventually, but it feels like I'm going more from a sense of obligation than really truly being excited to go, and I'm not sure when that happened.
I haven't watched the leaked print. I mean, I did watch the scene with Hugh Jackman running around naked because DUH like I was gonna let that exist anywhere in the world where I could access it without accessing it, but other than that I haven't watched anything. I haven't even watched any of the clips or trailers or what-nots to spoil myself too badly. I've avoided all the reviews and synopses that appeared because of the leaked print. But... I kinda don't care anymore.
I was jazzed for awhile, as y'all know well enough from the constant posting... did I spend my enthusiasm too early? I don't know. But I won't even be seeing it until sometime next week at the earliest and I don't feel bad about that. The prospect of story-high Jackman ass and Ryan Reynolds is enough to get me there still, but otherwise... meh.

Agreed. I was hyped for - ahem - different reasons than "Jackman Ass (TM)", but it's pretty much gone now. I guess when the goal is merely "Eh, it's better than X-MEN 3", there's not much to hope for.
Yeah, same - to all that. I was SO excited for it like a year ago, but it just looks... sucky. And I actually like the third X-Men movie.
And if Patrick Wilson Ass COULDN'T ACTUALLY get me to see Watchmen...
Jumping in to concur. Although I may be a skewed data point since I actually live in Tempe, AZ where they had the premire. The chokehold that event had on the media around here made me change the channel more than once. Stupid voting allowed in a college town. *grumble, grumble*
They have over-hyped it. I will still probably see it but this is a classic case of talking up a film too much, too soon.

I saw the leak, so no, I am no longer excited. Because the movie is worse than X3.
I hear badness from all sides and unfortunately it just makes me sadda. All in all I get to see some fx and eat some bad stuff and get upset but in the end Fox will still ruin movies and either learn from the box office result or go back to Marvel- fingers crossed. I know it won't happen. Somehow movies became political and instead of accidentally getting treasures we are forcing studios to present us with fast food.
