An Unexpected Threesome

.

Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart starring as a couple in a film, that I can see. But directed by John Cameron Mitchell? That.. that extends my reach, a bit.

Anyway, that's what's happening, says Cinematical. The flick is called Rabbit Hole and has to do with a couple, played by those two hams, dealing with grief over the death of their son. Sounds fun!

I know from VERY good sources that this project has been in the works for some time. There was a different director attached originally (I don't know if I am at liberty to name him but he is far better known for his superhero movies) but Mitchell will prove an even better, if unusual, choice. He is a director who works far too little. The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize winning play by David Lindsay-Abaire which originally starred a devastatingly controlled Cynthia Nizon in the Kidman role.

Thanks for the scoop, SigLNY! Very cool. I love JCM, Shortbus was #3 for 2006, so I am def. curious to see what he'll do here. And was that really all the way back in 2006? Ye gods!
