Well, it's official everybody! Sufjan Stevens has asked me to marry him, and I've accepted. At least that's how I'm reading his releasing an old song of his dedicated to Sofia Coppola. I mean... Sufjan loves Sophia... I love Sofia and Sufjan... it's meant to be.You can listen to "Sofia's Song" over at his blog or download the mp3 here. It's an old demo and sort of slight as a song - you can read through the where's and what not's of how the same came to be there as well - but it's got that special Suffy sweetness in spades. In his blog though he even says my name twice, thereby underlining the fact that this was intended as a proposal to me alone. I accept!

I'm glad Sufjan loves you, JA, because I'm convinced he hates me. I'm so tired of these one-offs. Where's Minnesota or Connecticut?! Montana or Vermont?! I'm not picky. I'll even take Puerto Rico. (I know it's not a state, but that's how much I just want a new Sufjan album.)
Sigh. Woe is me.
