Caprica Comes

.

You will be mine, Caprica.
Tonight you will be mine! Wha ah ah!

Anybody watched it yet? For some reason, previous paragraph aside, I'm having trouble ratcheting up my excitement-level too much. I haven't read much about it but I haven't seen a whole lot of enthusiasm anywhere, and... I don't know. Esai Morales and Eric Stoltz? Really? Of course I would've (and did) say the same thing about Edward James Olmos before BSG and that turned out fine. Must give them the benefit of the doubt!

I am about an hour into it. It's definitely not as wham-bizz-bang excitement of BSG, but I find myself engaged. Though there's a suprising amount of nudity and hot topless girls making out that feels sort of like exploitative fanservice. Eric Stoltz and Grandpa Adama's both give strong performances. You can definitely see him as William Adama's dad and that is sort of thrilling plus impressive.

Not through it all yet but so far I wouldn't mind giving it a shot as a series.

I'm interested to hear what you think about this.

I couldn't get past season 2, but I do love BSG.
