The End Is Nigh

.
The other day I was reading a review of this past Friday's Battlestar Galactica and it mentioned that the episode was the first of the final six and I grew so very sad. So sad! Ugh! What a world, what a world. And now comes a lil' more non-spoilery info on the finale (via):

"The acclaimed cable series "Battlestar Galactica" is set to end with a three-part episode says SyFy Portal.

The series, which just aired the fifteenth episode of the fourth season last Friday, has extended its annual twenty episode run to twenty-one for the big send-off.

The nineteenth episode kicks off the three-parter entitled 'Daybreak' on March 13th at 10pm US-EST.

That episode will be repeated at 8pm the following Friday on March 20th, back-to-back with the remaining two-parts which will be aired together starting at 9pm US-EST.

This allows those who want to watch it straight through to do just that. Sources at SciFi Channel expect it could draw some of the biggest numbers the network has seen for not only the signature series, but scripted programming as a whole."

I knew the end was coming, that I ought to have prepared myself... but I am not prepared. I'm not! I'm like that chick looking back at the burning Sodom and turning into a pillar of salt. Soon you will sprinkle me on your french fries and know what loss is!

One more! Hooray!

I'm the same way...I was reading something about last week's ep and "final five episodes" was casually dropped and I wanted to die.

And during last week's episode, when Roslin started coughing, my roommate got really upset- "But I CARE about these characters!"

I'm going to be so devastated when it ends. I'm hoping Caprica will help ease the pain.

How does the movie The Plan work into all this? Is it pre-series, post-series, or is it the final three episodes, or...?

I'm pretty sure that The Plan counts as a bonus (not included in the episode count for the season) and that it tells a good chunk of the story from the Cylons' point of view... not sure what period we're POV'ing through their eyes though.

I second your friend - I care about them too, and this shit is gonna get rough! Ugh. We're all terrible masochists, I swear.
