Pushing Daisies... The Movie

Via TV Guide comes words of beauty and loveliness from the lips of former pie-slinging song imp Kristin Chenoweth:

"Bad news and very good news for Pushing Daisies fans, straight from star Kristin Chenoweth: The final episodes, when and if they eventually air, won't resolve all of the plotl-ines on the show — but show creator Bryan Fuller has an idea for a movie that would.

"It would wrap up a lot of the unanswered questions that people will have once they finally air our final episodes," the singer-actress told TVGuide.com...

... Fuller himself hinted at the possibility at a recent appearance at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, where he also talked about his long-standing idea of resolving the story in comic-book form.

If the movie goes ahead, Chenoweth says she's in — and she believes her Daisies castmates would be as well.

"I'm sure that Bryan Fuller wouldn't do it without the six main characters," she said. "Paul Reubens was a big part of it — we have certain guest stars that are standouts that we'd want back. But he has such a great idea for it. ... We all want to.""

Runs around screaming with joy waiting for the inevitable crush of the reality that this won't actually happen unless a Mr Sonnenfeld decides to back it up and give it the go ahead... We need all the starpower we can get for this to be made people!

Okay, for your own good I need to say this: this movie is 99.999999% never going to happen. I wish it would. But every time a cult movie gets canceled, somebody out there gets somebody on record as saying "Yeah, hey, we could always do a movie" and it gets everybody's hopes up. Buffy. Veronica Mars. Firefly (which...okay, whatever, that was overrated and they killed Wash). Don't get your hopes up for this.

Yeah, I know this won't happen, but I think we should all start a petition to Barry Sonnenfield to get this movie made. Fuller doesn't have the backing to get this made, but Sonnenfield would.
