"You know. Rapists."

Mother-humping Joan Wilder! Are they serious? Via THR:

"'Romancing the Stone' remake in works

Fox is bringing "Romancing the Stone" to the big screen again, swinging into development a remake of the 1984 adventure movie and tapping Daniel McDermott to write it.

The original movie helped launch Robert Zemeckis as a director, turned Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito -- then best known for their TV work -- into film stars and established Kathleen Turner as a romantic lead."

Noooo!!! RtS is one of my childhood touchstones. It was on HBO all the time and I swear I've seen it dozens upon dozens of times. It's a great adventure comedy that still holds up incredibly well - I just watched it a few months ago - and this news makes me sad.

I suppose nobody but me wants a third film to the series, with the rapid-aging process that has taken its toll on Michael and Kathleen these past couple of years.

I blame that dog-killing sister-raping bible-stealing nogoodnik Grogan! Bastard!

So...no fantasy casting?

(Chris Evans and Kristen Bell! Chris Evans and Kristen Bell!)

Let's go back to the jungle of cartagena, (this is the most offensive movie about Colombia, it set the cliche of the airport full of chckens)

This is the worst news I've heard all day, and I've been following all the publishing lay-offs ALL DAY.

Sad.

Okay, I was against this until I saw Joe's idea-Evans & Bell would be awfully interesting.
