Y'all... I am so distracted. And exhausted. This Presidential race is eating me alive. I spend half the day bouncing from political blog to political blog... then I get home at night and chain myself to MSNBC for Olbermann and (my beloved) Rachel Maddow... then while I sleep I dream in pie charts and line graphs and of little floating Floridas and Ohios, alternating between red and blue and a deep dark coagulated purple... I wake up and the first thing I do is run to my computer for the latest polls again. Ack! Ack.
May we all survive this week intact, and may Tuesday November 4th be a night of celebration.

sadly i am kind of over keith olbermann --who i've come to realize is now just like the people on FOX only with much more sane politics... but he's still so biased as to be hard to take seriously... and I LIKE BIAS in my favor! ;)
but in our home RACHEL MADDOW is definitely the goddess of the year.
Couldn't agree more, Nat. I can only take Olbermann every so often really and sometimes I just have to tune him out because he's so damn blustery, even though yes I agree with him on pretty much everything. Sometimes you do need somebody shouting with dismay at the stupidity, it makes you feel better. But sometimes he's just too much.
But Rachel... dear sweet Rachel... her calm cool and reasonable aura of sanity is a real bresh of freth air.
We had a change of government (from conservative, to, ummmm... less conservative) in Australia last year, first time in over 10 years. The most awesome thing was the Prime Minister (complete arse by the way) lost his own seat!!!
That night would be in the top 5 greatest nights of my life. Amazing.
I hope you guys get the chance to do the same!
