I Am Link

--- America Gets Thirst-y - Via BD comes word that Universal and Focus Features have picked up the US distribution rights for Park Chan-wook's next flick, the vampire tale Thirst. Which is awesome news, since his flicks never get distributed here. Also good news:

"It is [scheduled] to be completed in time for a festival bow in mid-2009."

--- Jive-Talkin' With Takashi - BD also has an ever-so-brief chat with director Takashi Miike on his Tarantino-starring flick Sukiyaki Western Django, on Eli Roth, and on other junk and stuff.

--- Mouth Wide Shut - I hadn't mentioned this news yet because to mention it is to make it seem like it's something but it's NOTHING I swear it's NOTHING or at least I've snapped all of my finger-bones broken with crossing them in hopes that it's NOTHING... Joss Whedon has shut down production on Dollhouse for two weeks while he figures shit out. He just needed a breather, man. Give the man a break. He's making it right. No doubt!

--- Crazy Romijn - Stale Popcorn, inspired by yours-truly's yesterday-post on Brian De Palma, dedicates today's Black + White Friday post to Femme Fatale. Pretty pretty.

--- Contract Critic Killer - Roger Ebert's wife threatens to break the kneecaps of the NY Post critic who hit her hubby with a binder. I am willing to pony up a donation to assist with that effort.

--- And finally, Lazy Eye Theater explains to us all why Neil Marshall's Doomsday rules the roost of awesomeness in bang for your buck, especially in relation to snooty Oscar winner No Country For Old Men. WORD.

I hate to even put this put into the universe, but...I'm going to try not to get too attached to "Dollhouse." Just for my own self-preservation.

this post seeemed to be missing something. there was like a huge blank area in the middle of it --it must have been a photo url or something you typed in wrong.

big blank space between Takashi and Femme Fatale

I think there was a liiiiittle more tongue in cheek going on, though, right? Doomsday DOES offer more movie than No Country For Old Men. In the same way that a plate of loaded nachos offers more food than a filet mignon.

Yeah. No, you're right. Stick removed.
