Today I'd rather be...
... finding the cure for xenomorph plaque.
After finishing up my LL Cool Horror list last night, I decided I needed to re-watch Aliens, because it's been several years since I'd seen the thing all the way through, and I recently finally got a copy of the extended version and yadda yadda does one really need a reason want to watch Sigourney Weaver kick some alien arse? No one does not.
And I found myself hypnotized by the aliens' teeth for some insane reason. They look like icicles! Horrible murderous acid-dripping icicles. Another reason to remember that Stan Winston was a god and should be greatly, deeply missed, y'all. Just look at that sucker above and then remember those CG swimming aliens in the fourth movie and shudder until your own teeth fall out. Sadness.
PS - Has Seth Green & Co. ever done a bit on Robot Chicken about the Alien Queen riding the elevator up to catch up with Ripley and Newt near the very end of Aliens? Because I love how the elevator goes back down and picks up that crazy-ass two-story tall bitch and bring her up to attack them. The boyfriend and I were giggling imaging her pushing the button and tapping her toe(ish thing) while waiting for it to come and pick her up. And then some kind of muzak playing... this all seems very Robot Chicken, no? I wonder if Seth's done it already...
