Make It Santoro Time

.
And a Happy Birthday to you, beautiful Rodrigo Santoro. I haven't forgotten you... have you forgotten me? Just because your role on Lost was... not well received... it doesn't mean you should estrange your American audience. Sure, I once heard you described as "The Tom Cruise of Brazil" (hopefully that referred to your level of stardom and not your sanity), so perhaps once you were written off a moderately-successful American television program not even an entire season through because of immense - and I mean immense - fan dislike for your character, well I could see how that might make you retreat to the home country that worships you.

I am exaggerating Santoro's flight from a hostile United States, obviously. He was in David Mamet's Redbelt earlier this year, and he's still attached to that glorious project known as Black Oasis - the B-movie actress Susan Cabot bio-pic set to star Rose McGowan that I've prayed for repeatedly to happen. Plus he's all queer in I Love You, Phillip Morris, with Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor...

Here's to hoping that's a little less I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry or The Birdcage (shudder) than the stills have looked so far (All that Versace? Really?).

Anyhoo, you a pretty fellow, Rodrigo Santoro. And you make The Lovely Laura Linney dance like a fool. You can stay.
